Traditional management systems focus only on quality assurance and follow one of the recognized standards such as ISO 9000 or industry specific standard such as TS 16949.
Managing a business effectively goes far beyond just quality management so why stop there? Why not integrate the other management activities into a comprehensive, interactive system that co-ordinates and aligns the different activities and systems to maximize their efficient operation and provide mutual support?
There are many principles for improvement that can be applied to functions other than just quality. Other tools such as cost accounting can also be applied to help maximize operating efficiency.
